Kim's moment with Deborah:

I grew up listening to Debbie Gibson. Have always wanted to see her live. Never really got the chance...until this year at Chicago's Pride fest. We were able to get up close to the stage and saw an amazing performance. Deborah did not disappoint the wait of over 20 years!!! What a way to celebrate my 10 years of being out!! She came on stage and just absolutely ROCKED the crowd! I even got to shake her hand while she was on stage. This really was a childhood dream come true!

Deborah was kind enough, and so very generous with her time, even though she was catching a flight to CO, to stay for, I would guess, like an hour after the show to sign autographs and take pictures with her fans. Meeting Deborah was, for lack of better words, heavenly! She was so sweet and so nice. She wished me and signed my shirt 'happy anniversary'. I hope to see her again soon and wish her much continued success!! Thanks again to her and her crew for taking the time and putting on one hellva show!!!
Peace,
Kim Majdanowski

Stéphane's moment with Deborah:

Im Stéphane Gélinas, one of the few lucky fans who had the chance to meet Deborah at the Meet-and-Greet after the show in Quebec City last friday.

First of all, thanks to you, Deborah and all your team for giving me and my friends the opportunity to meet Deborah in person.  She was warm and very friendly. It was very exciting to meet her in person. The atmosphere was approprietly "electric" when she came into the room! I'll always remember that very special moment. Im very grateful to have been able to be a part of it.

The show itself was amazing! I've been a fan of Deborah since I was 12 years old (Im now 31!!). It was the first time I actually saw her live on stage. I cannot tell you enough how much fun it was to be there.

Again, thank you so very much, it was an unexpected surprise, but one for which I'll be eternally grateful!

Can't wait to continue hearing about Deborah's fantastic new music also!

Nella's moment with Deborah:

.

When I was 10 years old, Debbie Gibson was my idol.  Before her, I had never taken much interest in the music world. My friends and I have great memories of all the shows we would put on in our back yards, imitating the moves from Electric Youth. I had never had the cance to see Debbie in concert "back in the day", but when I heard she was going to be performing at the Generation 80 show, I could not pass up the opportunity!

As soon as she came on stage, singing Shake your Love, all the words came back to me and I felt like I was 10 again. She was energetic, had a great stage presence and it looked as though she was happy to be there. Sure, Rick, Samantha and Tiffany all looked and sounded great, but to me, it was the Debbie Gibson show!  I enjoyed every minute of it!
When she sang Electric Youth and kicked off her shows, the dance moves I had practiced over and over again, as a child, came back to me and I wish I could've been on that stage with her.

Then came the moment when we were going to meet her.  I had gotten an email confirmation that my name was going to be added to the list of people already submitted to security. Maybe because of all the confusion, maybe because security didn't have the updated list, my name was never called out. My heart sank...I couldn't be so close to meeting Debbie and just be turned away.  I somehow managed to make it with all the others and then she came in the room! Debbie was very nice, friendly and gracious with everybody.  She took the time to sign autographs and smile for the cameras and made sure everybody got their time with her.

I cannot thank Deborah enough for being so nice to her fans and giving them the opportunity to spend some time with her.
Please give us more shows....we can't get enough!

Thank you also to team Deborah Gibson for giving the fans this unique chance....Totally made my dream come true.

Sincerely,
Nella

Kendra's moment with Deborah:

I have loved Deborah since I was about 7. Out of the Blue was my first and favorite cassette tape. It is very well known that I am a huge Debbie fan- most of my childhood photos are of me sporting my Debbie hat and pins- I even wore a bolo tie like she did! I had a Debbie-themed bachelorette party- weird, I know, but I loved it. Anyways, I randomly searched Deborah's name for the heck of it one day to see if she had any tour dates and it was fate! My friends and I drove from Albany, NY to Foxwoods in CT just to see her. We decorated the car with Debbie-or-Bust signs- it was a great trip. Her concert was amazing- after all of these years she is better than ever! And then my dreams came true- it was out of the blue- she met every fan after the concert! I was so excited and so shocked that I felt totally unprepared! What do you say to your idol after all these years? I keep this picture in plane site to remind me that dreams do come true! Deborah is such a sweetheart and meeting her only reminded me of why I have been such a huge fan all these years!

My friends and I then road tripped it down to Atlantic City to see her in concert again. She ended up eating breakfast next to our table with her whole family, but we didn't want to disturb her- I was already lucky enough to meet Debbie once and hopefully I'll get to meet her again and let her know how much she has inspired me and how her music reminds me of great times I've had.

Carlos's moment with Deborah:

.

Hi everybody!! Thank you for this site. It really get us closer to Deborah's work. The first time I met Deborah was when she had an accustic show at Cannal Room/NYC (March of 2006). Me and a friend called Marcio went (from Brazil) to NYC just to see Deborah Live. It was a long time dream come true. During the concert, Deborah asked me "Are you the guy that came from Brazil? Let me sing you a song". She brought me up to the stage and sang Lost in Your Eyes to me. That night was one of the most important moments in my life and it will shine for ever in my mind and heart. All I have to say here is thank you to Deborah for her music and personality.

Love,
Carlos

Shannon's moment with Deborah:

I have met Deborah twice. Each time she was overwhelmingly kind, accommodating and graceful. The first time I was SOOOO nervous, but i managed to stutter out how much her music and positivity meant to me. Her music is such a gift to my life. She couldn't have been sweeter. There were also many people gathered (It was outside after a Joseph performance in San Diego) and she put everyone at ease with her marvelous grace. When she turned to leave, she looked me in the eye and said, "Nice meeting you!". It was so cool. I met her again 2 years ago, and she was just as great. Nicest person you could ever ask to meet. Also, her performance at the LA House Of Blues April 2nd, 1997 was KILLER! One of the best shows I have ever seen. Love to you, Deborah!

Bonni's moment with Deborah:

I had the greatest opportunity to meet Deborah twice at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa. KBIG 104.3 sponsored the event for fans. It was a very intimate and was too cool for words. Here is one of my moments I had with her.

Shawn's moment(s) with Deborah:

I've been a fan ever since I heard "Only In My Dreams" on the radio for the very first time. Though I was only 10 years old at the time, it was a moment that changed my life forever. I was so excited by the prospect of someone so young pursuing their dream. Over the years, Deborah became the inspiration behind me taking my first piano lesson, writing my first song, and ultimately recording my first CD. Her positive approach to life has often served as an inspiration during times of adversity...my gratitude for which is indescribable. I've had the fortunate opportunity to meet her a few times over the years, and each time she was even more kind than the last. I've met many people in the industry, and Deborah is by far the most appreciative of her fans...A class act all the way.

Chris's moment with Deborah:

Broadway Rocks for the Arts, Cary, NC (2002) Deborah arrived about 8pm, she came out to a rail by the entry way, and I waved at Deborah and she waved back and I held up my cd cover and she motioned for a guy she was talking to to fetch it for her. She signed it To Chris, Great to see you! Heart Deborah Gibson. Her opening number "All That Jazz" was GREAT she really got into it and shimmied and shaked... lol She had a sequined lilac/lavender colored skirt on and silver heels, very nice looking. "The One" from M.Y.O.B. was next and the encore was a medley most of Foolish Beat, Only In My Dreams (remix), Shake Your Love, a really good matured version of Lost In Your Eyes, and a couple others. Some sounding just like when she was 16, same key, pitch and all. The whole cast came back out and sang a patriotic song, and Deborah had on a new sequined usa flag top also looking really great. Deborah finally came out and we were back behind a few people somehow and I finally got up to her and Diane needless to say I got my first 2 pics with Deborah and got to tell her myself as best I could (speechless) that I was a fan of about 15 yrs and I really appreciated her music. She said thank you that's really sweet. I was walking off and she was like "You gonna just leave your friend hangin?"... LOL I almost forgot to take his picture lol. It was a whole lot funnier if you'd been there... She was so cool, and very down to earth. I know I look tired in the pic but keep in mind it was a heat index of 100 that day, and I waited 4 hrs approx to finally get the pic with her. :) lol Was well worth it!!! It's verified Deborah is the true star, I always knew she was. I have met her about 5 other times to date and being this was the first time, pretty much supercedes anything else.

Jeremy and Jason's moment with Deborah:

I've had the pleasure of meeting Deborah several times, but the most memorable was in January of 2001. One Friday evening, fellow Debhead Jason and I hopped in a rental car and drove all night from Atlanta to Indianapolis to see Deb in "Cinderella." We caught the matinee, took a power nap afterward, then saw the evening performance as well. After the evening show, we waited anxiously at the end of a long line of people hoping to meet her at the stage door. The theater staff eventually ushered everyone backstage. When it was finally our turn to meet her, we were both silly messes -- due both to a lack of sleep and having the opportunity to talk to Deb. I'm not sure if she was in awe of the fact that we'd driven overnight (in some gnarly weather, by the way) to see her or if she was highly amused by Jason's vocabulary (she made note of his casual use of "flummoxed" in her journal), but we were thrilled when she led us both to the carriage from the show and suggested we have our photo taken in it. That's me on the left and Jason on the right in a photo that's easily one of my most prized possessions. I'm now in Asheville, NC and Jason's in NYC, but Deb is still the glue that holds our friendship together (we even reunited to see her in "Cabaret" on Broadway). Thanks for being such a positive force in so many ways, Deb!

Shannon's moment with Deborah:

My friend and I saw Deborah perform at gay pride at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, GA in the summer of 2007. She was amazing! We were so close to her and danced to every song she sang. Some of the songs were from the 80's while others were some she did off of her Broadway album. After she performed she was signing autographs and taking pictures with her fans. We waited in a fairly long line to get her autograph and to have our picture taken with her. I am the one on the left. She is so nice and even prettier in person. I am eagerly waiting for her to release a new studio album! Thanks so much for creating a page dedicated to an amazing woman and artist!

Christopher's moment with Deborah:

Hi. My name is Christopher Guzzo and this picture of me and Deborah was taken after the filming of her performance for a VH1 show, I think it was called Celebrity Karaoke. It was a great show that also starred Lisa Lisa, The B-52's, Barry Williams, and more. Deb sang One Week from the Barenaked Ladies and rocked it!!! While we were waiting for Deb to leave the theatre, I noticed my disposable camera had run out of pictures and I had to run down the street to buy another one. I never ran so fast. But I did make it back, sweaty and all. Gross, but it was totally worth it!! A fan from the beginning, Christopher Guzzo Needles, CA

Paul's moment with Deborah:

I consider myself to be a very lucky person. Deb’s been my favorite artist for so many years, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have seen her perform in many different venues. This picture was taken during the Someone You Love tour. It seems whenever Deb is in Minneapolis, it’s freezing outside (!!!), but the fans still show up. Fortunately, for this picture, we were in Orchestra Hall. :D I love Deb’s music, but I also love that she takes time out for her fans. Not many artists do that these days. I look forward to many, many more years of great stuff.

Dale's moment with Deborah:

Hi, My name is Dale. I met Debbie on my 23rd birthday on August 21, 1988 here in the Detroit area. I was a huge fan of hers since the beginning. My girlfriend and I found out what hotel she was staying at while she was in town for her concert at Pine Knob in Clarkston, Michigan. She was so nice. At the time, I thought her birthday was the same day as mine. She corrected me with the right date of the 31st of August. She is ten days shy of her 18th birthday in this picture. She signed my "Out Of The Blue" album and kissed me. I would love to meet her now and get "our" picture autographed. Hope you post this pic! Your website is great! Thanks. Dale

Michael's moment with Deborah:

I was lucky enough, quite by chance to meet Deborah for the 2nd time at her show in the Canal Room NYC on 10th March 2006. I previously met her in London in 1993. I had planned on going on her cruise in the Caribbean that was canceled and instead found myself in a cold NYC going to the Canal Room show instead. Me & my friend Jason a fellow Debhead got to the venue early enough to hear Deb do her soundcheck. She did Only In My Dreams & Crocodile Rock in full amongst others! After the show we waited outside for Deb - not realizing that she was still inside in a VIP area. Thank God the lady working the line letting fans in at the beginning of the evening was leaving and spotted us - she told us Deb was inside doing a signing and we should go back inside. We did! We hung around for a while & Diane walked past me & I asked her if Deb was still signing, but the music was so loud that she could not hear me & there were other fans trying to speak to her as well. I turned around and saw a flight of stairs - something told me to go down them - I got half way down and saw Deb. I think they were the bathrooms to be honest! I grabbed my friend and we flew down the stairs and we met our idol. Luckily there were only 2 or 3 people ahead of us. I was in shock that I did not even remember shaking her hand (I was told later I did). Though I do remember the conversation I had with her and the whole show. After being a fan since 1987 it was the first time I had seen her perform her own show. Hopefully it will NOT be the last. ---Michael Jones Cardiff, Wales U.K.

Gary Hill's moment with Deborah:

The attached photo was taken at a Gay Pride event in 2002 or 2003 (I really don't remember). I heard that Deborah will be performing at the PrideFest stage and therefore made a point to be there at a particular time to see Deborah. She performed three songs (two with the Playboys)... What You Want, Only In My Dreams '98 and My Secret. She looked fabulous. Afterwards, I went to the stage entrance in the back and she met with fans. Her mother Diane was so sweet and very nice that she took our picture together that is now on my wall to this day. She is an amazing and consummate performer and to be so close and live to see her made me appreciate her talents.

Jim Watson's moment with Deborah:

It was March of 2001 and the wife and I drove down to Cincinati to catch Deborah in Cinderella. We headed down to the theatre to catch an early dinner before the Saturday night show. It was just our luck as we walked by the side of the theatre that Deborah was coming out to greet people after the matinee performance. We hung back to let all the "little ones" who thought they were actually meeting Princess Cinderella herself do their thing. We then made our way up and I finally got to meet Miss Gibson.

Many moons ago I met Deborah at a CD signing in Va. & was blown away with how she was taking requests from her fans for songs that were not anything she had ever recorded. Last year I got to meet Deborah again when she performed on The Atlantis Cruise. I sat in the front row for both her shows.
